California Sign Language Interpretation Services

California Sign Language Interpretation

With the demand for American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters in California on the rise, organizations need a provider they can trust. The Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Community (DHOH) has a long-standing presence in California, and the need for ASL interpreting services will reportedly continue to grow to meet their needs. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, “the demand for American Sign Language interpreters is expected to grow within the next 10 years due to the increasing use of video relay services, which allow people to conduct online video calls and use a sign language interpreter.” We provide California sign language interpretation services to meet this increasing demand.

Types of Sign Language Interpreting Services

Onsite ASL Interpretation: Onsite ASL interpreting can be conducted through either simultaneous or consecutive interpretation. Our contracted interpreters are proficient in both English and American Sign Language to provide accurate interpretations of specific subject matters. The interpreters we contract are qualified to interpret in professional settings, are certified by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and/or other reputable certifying entities.

Video Remote Interpreting (VRI): Increasing technological developments make interpretation services for the DHOH community more accessible. Video Remote Interpreting is conducted using HIPAA-compliant video conferencing equipment or videophones to transmit video and audio signals using high-speed internet connections. This allows the DHOH community to access qualified ASL interpreters, within seconds in situations when an onsite interpreter is not available.
