Interpreters Unlimited to Extend Services for Federal, State and Local Governments Nationwide
SAN DIEGO, Oct. 24, 2016–Interpreters Unlimited is pleased to announce it will continue services for technology conglomerate, Serco, delivering telephone interpretation and document translation. Under the contract, Serco aims to complement its current service offering for Federal, state and local governments in the most requested languages in regions.
7-Year Contract Issued to Interpreters Unlimited by Arkansas Department of Human Services
SAN DIEGO, Oct. 21, 2016–The State of Arkansas Department of Human Services issued a seven-year contract to Interpreters Unlimited to provide interpreting and translation services in 20 languages to persons with limited English proficiency. Under the contract, IU will do business as its sister company, Arkansas Spanish Interpreters and Translators (ASIT). The contract began October 1 and will expire September 30, 2023.
Telephone Interpreting Services to Impact 104K Florida Residents
SAN DIEGO, Oct. 13, 2016–The Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HART) recently awarded Interpreters Unlimited with a three-year contract for on-site interpretation, telephone interpretation, and document translation to serve limited English proficiency (LEP) persons. Under this contract, HART seeks to ensure LEP persons are not left behind and aims to increase awareness through professional language services. HART’s current operation includes 182 bus routes for the cities of Tampa, Temple, Terrace, parts of unincorporated Hillsborough County, Florida with connections to Pinella County.
Housing Authority of San Bernardino Awards Language Services Contract to Interpreters Unlimited
SAN DIEGO, Oct. 11, 2016–Interpreters Unlimited was recently awarded a three- year contract with the Housing Authority of San Bernardino County to supply telephone interpretation, on-site interpretation, and document translation services effective, October 1-September 30, 2019. With this contract, IU will provide interpretation in 37 foreign languages, as well as American Sign Language, and written translations in nine languages to the Housing Authority’s 30,000 residents. The Authority aims to help residents become financially independent as the demand for affordable housing increases.
18 Upcoming Public Forums to Address Language Concerns in Central Valley
SAN DIEGO, Sept. 24, 2016–Interpreters Unlimited was recently awarded a two-year contract to become the sole provider for the California High-Speed Rail Authority, delivering interpretation and translation services to limited English proficiency residents of Central Valley. Under the contract, IU will provide foreign language interpreters for an anticipated 18 public forums to be hosted by HSR in a 12 month period. Written translation of public notices, flyers and other documentation will also be supplied during the construction phase of the high-speed passenger railway system.
