San Diego DEAFestival 2019. San Diego, CA. 

Initially known as Deaf Awareness Day in the 1980s, The San Diego, CA DEAFestival celebrates every aspect of Deaf culture, and aims to foster a sense of understanding between Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing and Hearing communities. The event commemorates historical figures in the Deaf community and provides a platform for present day members to showcase their talent and share their stories. DEAFestival brings an action-packed agenda to California every year, with exhibits, outdoor activities, and a variety of artist performances including American Sign Language (ASL) storytelling, poetry and dancing.
